Our On Air Hosts: Patrick Johnson, Erin Keem, Dave Keem.

Pat’s love and appreciation of Irish music comes from his mother Mary O’Neill and her love and pride of her hometown of Thurles, Tipperary Ireland. Pat and his family grew up around the Gaelic League Irish American Club of Detroit and the Detroit Irish Festival where he was introduced to music and bands direct from Ireland. Pat is the owner, mobile DJ and Emcee of Shamrock DJ Service and provides his services for many high profile Irish events in Michigan. Prior to broadcasting the Irish Music Café in 2016, Pat was a part time on air host and remote engineer for the Detroit Irish Radio Show on WNZK AM690. Pat has been an in studio guest on Dublin City FM – Dublin Ireland, Tipp FM – Tipperary Ireland and a phone guest on Dublin City FM, Tipp FM, Westport Community Radio – Westport Mayo Ireland and Cork’s 96FM – Cork Ireland and Sounds Like Ireland – 100.9 FM Muskegon Michigan.  Pat is a proud member of several Irish organizations including, The Fraternal Organization of United Irishmen, Knights of Columbus – St. Patrick Council, Knights of Equity, AOH Stephen Walsh Division, Irish Genealogical Society of Michigan and the Ardan Academy of Irish Dance Booster Club. Pat was recently honored as a 2019 inductee into the Michigan Irish American Hall of Fame.

Erin’s Irish heritage originates in County Clare and Dave’s from County Mayo. Both are past or current board members of the Gaelic League Irish American Club of Detroit and each have held various executive positions within the Gaelic League. They are both heavily involved within the Detroit Irish Community as members of the Irish Genealogical Society of Michigan, Ardan Academy of Irish Dance, the Irish Cultural Forum and the Ancient Order of Hibernians among many. Erin is the corresponding secretary of the United Irish Societies and Dave is currently the President of the Fraternal Order of United Irishmen. Both are active on the board for the Motor City Irish Fest where Erin works with the financial end of the MCIF while Dave shares his expertise on the planning and organization of the Whiskey Tastings. In their spare time Erin & Dave can be found at Irish concerts, festivals and fundraisers around the community and state. Both have a passion for cooking and as frequently as possible can be found volunteering in the kitchens at the Gaelic League, AOH Hall and at Irish events. Erin & Dave were honored to be selected as the 2018 Grand Marshal’s of the UIS Detroit St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Erin & Dave were inducted into the Michigan Irish American Hall of Fame in September 2022.
